<gc:about type="string">An Aura Image Reading is an uplifting guide for helping you help yourself and others in these troubled times. It is common wisdom that over 80 to even 90% of communication is non-verbal. You hear what you say to others, an aura photo allows you to see your "vibe." An aura image photo allows you to literally see for yourself how your energy field projects itself. When you can see where your body's energy is strong and where it is weak you can effectively plan life changes to improve your wellbeing as well as how you are perceived. Hattie offers practical guidance on how to capitalize on your strengths and mitigate weaknesses in the reading.

Hattie utilizes the Biopulsar Aura Imaging Machine, which was invented by a German medical intuitive. People who see auras are amazed that the inventor has been so very adept in capturing images that otherwise are only accessible to a gifted few.

Biography:
Hattie has been offering guidance and intuitive readings using Aura Readings (as an “X-ray” of the psyche), Astrology and Numerology to leaders from business, professional sports, academia, medicine and the arts for over thirty years. Drawing on the wisdom gained from consulting divination tools, she guides people in making decisions that are consistent with personal values and in synch with timing cycles that will serve their best advantage.

"In Sanskrit, Chakra translates into wheel, or disk. Chakras are energy centers; think of them as the software to the bodies hardware. There are seven major chakras that run down the center of the body and relate to the seven major nerve ganglia that extend from the spine. lAmong other things chakras correlate to elements, developmental stages of life, colors, sounds, bodily functions.

These energy centers in the subtle body form the bridge between our solid physical ground and our vast consciousness. Through the chakras you can learn to travel the bridge, up to liberate, down to manifest, in and out to relate to the world around you.

Events include Weekly Chakracize classes. Workshops. and Monthly Meetups to share Chakra experiences.

This group is open to all chakra seekers, both those new to the concept of chakras, and those more knowledgeable that are both looking to learn and experience more as well as share what they know.

<gc:about type="string">Author and some special guests (actors and well known activists) will read from Thanking the Monkey: Rethinking the Way We Treat Animals – followed by question and answer and then signing.

Karen Dawn’s “Thanking the Monkey: Rethinking the Way we treat animals” has glowing reviews from prestigious press such as Publishers Weekly and the Washington Post, endorsements from luminaries like Gloria Steinem and Nobel Prize winner JM Coetzee, but also praise from pop icons such as David Duchovny and Anthony Kiedis. It is a fun, hip look at the serious subject of animal protection.

Karen has been a student of “A Course in Miracles” for many years, and has integrated those teachings into her discussion about how we interact with each other and with the animals of the world. She presents the concept of animal rights in an enlightening, yet fun, fresh way.

Spiritually-toned and educational, Thanking the Monkey is a perfect primer. It is a book for the seasoned activist, the veg-curious, or for anyone who has ever given a second thought about how we treat the animals with whom we share the earth.

Biography:
Born in the US, Karen Dawn grew up and studied in Australia. She worked as a news researcher and writer for various Australian publications and on ABC's nightly news magazine, "The 7:30 Report." Living in New York in the 1990s, Karen studied A Course in Miracles and worked every Sunday for six years at the Saint Francis of Xavier soup kitchen. But after reading Animal Liberation, she was moved to devote herself to helping those most abused by society and least able to help themselves -- members of other species. Drawing on her knowledge of the media, she founded animal advocacy media watch, DawnWatch.com

She has served on the Genesis Awards voting committee and is currently the Genesis Awards print consultant. As a spokesperson for the animal protection movement, she has appeared on MTV, ABC, NBC, CBS and she has lectured at national animal rights conferences since 2001.

She has hosted animal issues talk shows on the Houston and Los Angeles Pacifica stations. Her opinion pieces have appeared in The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, New York's Newsday and the UK Guardian. She is a contributor to “In Defense of Animals: The Second Wave,” edited by Peter Singer. Thanking the Monkey: Rethinking the Way We Treat Animals, published by Harper Collins, is her first book.

You will learn everything you’ve ever wanted to know about animal rights but were afraid to get into a fight about. </gc:summary>

 <gc:location type="string">Yoga</gc:location>
 <gc:category type="string">Healthy Living</gc:category>
<gc:about type="string">Join Diana Harris, nationally known psychic medium, for a fascinating glimpse into the world of mediumship and an evening of communing with the Other Side. Similar to John Edwards’ “Crossing Over” gallery concept, the event will serve as a forum for opening up to the process of mediumship while offering evidence of “life after life” and the eternal quality of the human spirit. Diana will respond to your questions about Heaven and what happens when we cross over; clarify what mediumship “is and is not”; explain how to get a good mediumship reading; teach you how to recognize messages from Heaven; and demonstrate mediumship by delivering messages from the Other Side to audience participants.

Diana has her own unique delivery style – gentle, direct, engaging, and always compassionate. This will be an evening of connections and reconnections to loved ones, healing, and celebration. Quite often, those who attend these events find that they share a common bond with others in the room and that the messages of love, hope, and laughter were for them too! The message is clear from "Other Side". We are loved and we are not alone!

Biography:
Diana Harris is a nationally recognized intuitive counselor, psychic medium, teacher, and healer. Spending more than 18 years honing her intuitive and healing abilities, Diana is much sought after for the accuracy of her intuitive services, mediumship abilities, and dynamic workshops. Audiences everywhere respond to her joyous, inspiring, and compelling presentation style.

Ms. Harris gently lifts the veil of fear and illusion so that her clients are liberated and more empowered to honor their Highest Potential. She inspires and leads those that she meets toward making positive and life affirming changes in their lives. Her style is evocative of the well-known aphorism: “Know thyself and thou shalt know the world.”

Diana is a conduit - a bridge working with the Angelic and Ascended Master realms- and a gifted clairaudient, clairvoyant, and clairsentient. The Earth-based spirituality of Native American teachings, Hawaiian Huna, and global shamanic traditions have been the primary focus of her spiritual path. Diana has a deep connection to Mother Earth and works with her Wisdom Keepers. She incorporates her knowledge of the medicine power of animals, archetypes, and animal totems into her practice. This ancient knowledge is a methodology for self-understanding, healing, and spiritual growth.

Ms. Harris travels regularly to conduct transformational workshops, to speak at conferences, and to offer mediumship or intuitive counseling. <gc:about type="string">Ralph Singh, at age 22, had a powerful vision in New York that led him to India on a classic quest for Truth. It was there, in 1971, where he came face to face with the One who had appeared to him, His Holiness Baba Virsa Singh ji of Gobind Sadan, arguably one of the world's greatest spiritual figures. In the book, he shares the lessons learned at Babaji's feet of how to follow the most difficult path of all – leading a spiritual life while fully engaged in the trials and challenges of everyday life: marriage and raising a family, running a business, and serving in community projects aimed at alleviating the problems of the world.

You may go to gobindsadan.org to get a further experience of where Ralph Singh spent his time and journey. Ralph Singh's book shares his journey and lessons in a very inspiring, down to earth way that motivates any reader of any faith.

Biography:
Ralph Singh likes to be known as an ordinary person who continues to have extraordinary life experiences: from the powerful vision that drew him from New York to the feet of one of the world's greatest spiritual leaders, His Holiness Baba Virsa Singh, in India at the age of 22. This is where he became his first foreign devotee, to his involvement in the community building efforts surrounding the post 9-11 arson attack on his spiritual community Gobind Sadan, USA, north of Syracuse, NY.

Over the last 33 years Ralph has devoted his time to forging community and working to find ways to define civil society. He has worked in education developing and teaching a course called "Exploring Spirituality" and helped design and name the "Schools of Character" project for the Central NY Education Consortium. In the community he has coordinated programs aimed at breaking down barriers between the disabled and able-bodied communities, served as Chair of the City County Human Rights Commission, and, together with his wife Joginder, transformed "soup-kitchens" into "community meals" to break down class barriers and helped to develop community based farmers' markets.

Following the 1984 attack on the Golden Temple, he organized a consortium of International Human Rights Groups to draw attention to the plight of the Sikh community in India, and earlier had helped pioneer education programs for Sikh youth in America. Through the United Nations Association, Ralph helped establish the CNY MUN at S.U. and served on the National Council of UNA-USA under Elliot Richardson's leadership.

He developed and coordinated drug awareness programs for local schools. Known for his efforts in building interfaith relations, he help launch and served as Vice-chair of the North American Interfaith Network. He still serves on the advisory board of the Maxwell School's Program on Analysis and Resolution of Conflict.

Ralph was the founding President of Gobind Sadan, USA, and currently serves as President of Gobind Sadan Community Services, and as Director of Publications and Public Relations for the Gobind Sadan Society for Interfaith Understanding.

As long as Babaji was on this earth, Ralph served as His translator in international gatherings and as his representative at major conferences including the Millennium Peace Summit. He has lectured and written on the importance of values and spirituality in modern society, and has represented the teachings of the Sikh Gurus to national and international audiences from the Smithsonian Institution to local interfaith dialogues.
He is a graduate of The Gunnery, received his degree in Japanese Area Studies from the University of Rochester, and maintains a lifelong study/practice of prayer and meditation and spiritual traditions.

<gc:about type="string">Everywhere we turn the word “crisis” is in the air – the financial crisis, the food crisis, the climate crisis, the terrorist crisis. One would think that nothing good is happening in the world, which is far from the truth! There are mothers* all over the world doing incredible work to inspire, educate and engage their communities. Come and meet Kayhan Irani, artivist and editor of Telling Stories to Change the World, and Anjali Kochar of Mothers Acting Up, an organization dedicated to inspiring and mobilizing mothers* to advocate on behalf of the world’s children. Join us for music, a conversation on the intersection of art and activism and stories from communities and individuals around the world as they find their activist voice. Come to Inspiring Mother* Voices, nourish your soul and connect with your inner activist.
*mothers and others who exercise protective care over someone smaller.

Biography:
Anjali Kochar is half Indian and half American and spent half of her childhood growing up in New Delhi, India. Her bi-cultural upbringing and exposure to the world’s problems laid root to her desire to work in the social activism field, which she has for the past 14 years. Anjali currently works with Mothers Acting Up (MAU) where she provides support to MAU’s programs with a focus on partnerships.

After graduating from The American University with a double major in international relations and political science in 1993, Anjali worked for the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Center for Human Rights where she focused on child labor issues in India’s carpet industry and supported the annual RFK Human Rights Award. Her work with the Global March Against Child Labor took her to South Africa, Brazil and back to India. In January of 1999, Anjali left the RFK Memorial Center for Human Rights to pursue her Masters Degree in International Affairs at Columbia University’s School for International and Public Affairs. While there, her coursework and fieldwork concentrated on the economic and political development of South Asia.

Anjali lives in the Bronx, NY with her partner in life and in work, her husband Mike McCabe, and their two daughters.

Kayhan Irani is an artivist dedicated to unleashing beauty and truth from unconventional and irregular platforms. She has performed traditional and non-traditional theater at various venues such as Lincoln Center, The Public Theater, Chashama Theater, The Lower East Side Tenement Museum and on city streets. Her one-woman show entitled We've Come Undone, highlights the lives of immigrant women post 9/11, is an experiment in how contemporary performance can be combined with participatory theater to engage audiences in political and social change. It has been presented across North America at college and university campuses and international theater festivals.

She continues to further the connection between contemporary theater and civic dialogue through continuous collaborations with other artists and political and community organizations. In 2006 she wrote and performed in an original production of “Jackie ‘n’ the Beanstalk”, a children’s aerial-circus-theater show about asthma, environmental awareness and civic engagement, at The Point in the Bronx, which has been performed for the past three years.

Kayhan is an enthusiastic practitioner and trainer of Theater of the Oppressed, a participatory form of theater for social change. In early 2004 Kayhan had the opportunity to lead theater workshops in occupied Iraq, with Childhood’s Voices and Happy Families; two organizations teaching and healing children through the arts.

Kayhan served as an artistic consultant and researcher for Barnard College’s “Storytelling Project”, an initiative which links research to practice through the development of a curriculum to teach about race, racism, and social justice using storytelling and the arts. She co-edited a volume of essays, published by Routledge in 2008, Telling Stories to Change the World: Global Voices on the Power of Narrative to Build Community and Make Social Justice Claims. She is a member of the Dramatists’ Guild.

Kayhan seeks to use theater to activate audiences and transform society.

<gc:about type="string">Meet Frances! Frances Ktenas is an intuitive tarot reader & advisor and has been reading for over 16 years. She can read a person's soul, sense their needs and experience their energy. Growing up, she would finish people's thoughts and conversations before they got a chance to say them and knew things before they happened. It never occurred to her that this wasn't normal for everyone.

Frances wanted to study psychology but instead studied engineering in college and marketing in graduate school. As a result of consequences from a personal tragedy, she received an unexpected gift of running a printing company in the city. It was there, in an elevator one day, that Frances was given her first tarot deck by a relative stranger -- a true calling, and one that she knows was divined. She began studying and learning and of course reading for anyone and everyone and she learned how to use her abilities.

Frances' gift is to see Light thru darkness. To show you your soul's path and to guide and empower you. Her style is loving, clear and above all inspirational. She uses the cards as a tool to offer you insight and her readings are enlightening, entertaining and always enchanting.

Twenty-minute readings are $40. Reservations strongly advised for this warm and wonderful reader! Call the Store at 212-243-5994.</gc:about>

Starting with long drawn notes, gradually building up the tempo, weaving intricately with tabla beats and culminating in a crescendo ,this concert will take you on a journey from introspection to ecstasy. At once romantic and reflective; these melodies induce a warmth and a light for us all to bask in.

<gc:about type="string">An Aura Image Reading is an uplifting guide for helping you help yourself and others in these troubled times. It is common wisdom that over 80 to even 90%
of communication is non-verbal.

<gc:about type="string">	This is the first meeting of the Applying the Law of Attraction meet-up group. For this first meeting we will start off with a less formal meeting where the members can get to know each other, your experiences with the Law of Attraction, and what exactly you are looking to get out of this group. While I have my own ideas of how I intend to run the group and future workshops, I want to make sure that what I am offering is what the members are looking for.

Please come with an open spirit and open mind, feel free to bring friends with you, and be prepared to learn, laugh and enjoy yourself.

What better way to prepare yourself for the holiday season than to work on attracting exactly what you want?
