"Money in Early America" and "Money in the Civil War"

"Money in Early America" and "Money in the Civil War" are now open at the Sandoz Center. These two small exhibits from the American Numismatic Associations Money Museum in Colorado Springs, Colorado, look at not only the currency used during these two periods of American history, but also the political and cultural influences on the economy during these two critical periods. The exhibits showcase actual currency and will be on display until December 19th.

The Center is open from 8-12 and 1-4 M-F and 9-12 and 1-4 on Saturdays. We will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday and will reopen on December 1.

Outdoor Adventure Club

The Outdoor Adventure Club promotes ethical conduct of members in outdoor activities through interaction with area landowners, conservation officers and other members of the community. The Club tries to instill an appreciation of the outdoors and the preservation and conservation of fish and wildlife, familiarize members with changes in game laws, teach effective hunting and angling techniques, and provide a source of information and fellowship. Membership is open to all CSC students, faculty, staff and their families.

CSC Art Guild Christmas Sale

The holidays are coming and so is the CSC Art Guild Christmas Sale!

The sale will be held in the Ponderosa Room, CSC Student Center,
Wed., Dec. 3
8:00 am to 6:00 p.m.

Thurs., Dec. 4
8:00 am to 6:00 p.m.

The sale will include:
ceramics, ceramic mugs, stained glass, blown glass, photos, prints, paintings, drawings, holiday cards, jewelry, knitted/crocheted items, AND baked goods.
Please come by and do your holiday shopping and support our local artists.
The art students are fundraising for a spring museum trip to Chicago.

If you are a fellow artist or craftsperson and would like to sell your work in the Christmas Sale, here is what you need to do...
Please sign up on our artist sign-up sheet. It is located on Mary Donahue’s office door, MHall 110. You can also email me and I will sign you up and send you an artist’s inventory sheet. (mdonahue@csc.edu)
• Every artist must have each piece marked with a price sticker.
• Each artist must turn in an inventory sheet filled out with their pieces/titles listed and the price. Make a copy of the sheet for your own record. When a piece is sold, we take off the price sticker and put it next to the item sold on the inventory sheet. You will need to bring it and leave it with us when you set up your work at the sale.
• CSC Art Guild will take 20% commission so price accordingly.
• Bring work to CSC Student Center, Ponderosa Room by 7:00 –8:00 am, Wed., Dec. 3
• Take-down BY 8:30 pm on Thurs., Dec. 4
