Family Nature Class: Windy Wanderings

Seattle Area Through science-based exploration and outdoor play preschoolers and their caregivers will experience the UW Botanic Gardens using their senses. Each class begins with an opportunity to explore several learning stations based on the week's theme where children can practice fine motor skills, sensory investigation, creativity, and pre-math and literacy skills. Station time is followed by an opening circle and hike where the group will play games, listen to a story and further explore the weekly theme. Mommy Matinees at the Admiral

Seattle Area Every Friday, the Admiral Theater will feature first run matinees for parents, nannies, grandparents and caregivers. Lunar Block Party: Flashback Friday

Seattle Area Flashback Friday, part of the Museum of Flight's Lunar Block Party (July 19-21), is an outdoor festival of 1969-themed family activities, theater, movies and a live concert by the Britishmania Beatles Tribute Band. Seattle Area Bon Odori is a traditional summer festival in honoring ancestors who have passed on, remembering and appreciating all they have done, and celebrate their ongoing presence in our lives today. Bon Odori Festival

Seattle Area Bon Odori is a traditional summer festival in honoring ancestors who have passed on, remembering and appreciating all they have done, and celebrate their ongoing presence in our lives today. Also known as Obon, the festival is an official Seafair event held at the Seattle Betsuin Buddhist Temple. The main event is traditional music and dancing in the street in a giant oval. Many festival goers dress in Japanese kimono, yukata or happi coats.
